What comes to mind when we say ‘300 Million tones’?
It is the quantity of greenhouse gas emission generated globally by the food industry.
In line with our CSR commitment, we have put in place two major actions:
- Reaching to local suppliers instead of imported for our products will allow us to act positively on our food print. Today,
- Definining for our staff a vegetarian day every week in order to reduce our consumption of meat. In fact, 78% of the global food industry greenhouse gas emission is due to animal production. In average the animal products have the highest carbon footprint with a global average of 17.03 Kilos of CO2 per Kilo produced, when for the same quantity, the fruits, vegetables, beans and nuts have an impact approximately 88% less important.
These actions are the ones of many that we are taking to protect and preserve our planet.
